Great Instructor!

Phil worked/instructed with me on getting my Advanced Scuba Certification In Hawaii.   Best instructor you could ever have. Phil is very passionate about scuba diving.  You can tell it’s one of his favorite things to do in life and he get’s you excited about it.  We had so much fun, and I was very comfortable working with Phil.  Now I am “Advanced”  I can’t wait to work with Phil again on my next Scuba Certification.     Aloha,  Mike Simmons

Awesome Instructor!

Phil is awesome! My friends met him at sports chalet for their first open water certifications and followed him after he left as an independent instructor! When Phil invited them to the Cozumel trip and they decided to invite me along as well! They introduced me to Phil and it was the best decision ever! Phil is really great at what he does and his down to earth personality makes you feel extremely comfortable in and out of the water. Just don't forget the coors lights when you mess up in training ;).  If you are thinking of continuing or starting scuba diving from the start go through Phil. John is one of the guys that was out there with us helping out when I was getting my open water and he knows his stuff, all due to Phil! Don't wait to get trained and go through sports chalet! Phil is extremely flexible working with your schedule which saved me from missing on a lot of work. I'm so grateful that I met him and all of his diving buddies. Our trip to Cozumel is going to be phenomenal! Stop procrastinating and get going on classes! You won't be disappointed!!! :)

Simply the best...

I have had the pleasure of learning my SCUBA skills and earning my C-Cards, from my Open Water all the way through my now current cert of Divemaster with Phil.  He is a great instructor and you can tell he truly cares for his students.  He took his time and listened to all my questions, helped deal with any concerns and encouraged me all along the way.  Since earning my Divemaster, I have been able to observe many of his and other instructor's classes and I must say, picking Phil as your instructor, you cannot go wrong.  I would highly recommend Phil for all levels of PADI SCUBA certifications.    Now I am pleased to be joining Phil on a second trip to Cozumel.  He starts as an educator and quickly becomes a lifelong friend.
